The B.A.S.S. High School Nation and Outdoor Freedom Network have announced plans to hold the 2015 Texas State B.A.S.S. high School Championship at Jackson Hill Marina on May 31st 2015. The State Championship will expand the opportunity for high school anglers the opportunity to join the oldest and most prestigious bass fishing organization in the world.
As part of the B.A.S.S. High School Nation, young anglers can compete in the B.A.S.S. High School Nation Opens and in the B.A.S.S. High School Nation Championship. Teen anglers can also attend the High School Elite Experience held as part of the Bassmaster Elite Series tour, such as the one held last month on the Sabine river in Orange.
The B.A.S.S. High School Nation is helping shape the future of the sport, one high school club at a time. The High School club members enjoy camaraderie and competition, as well as education and conservation programs
"This means that we now have opportunities for our area high school anglers to compete for National recognition with the two giants of the fishing industry B.A.S.S. and FLW" reports Terry Sympson from Jackson Hill Marina and Founder of Outdoor Freedom Network. "We are looking forward to welcoming teams from around the State for The Texas State Championship on May 30-31st as well as getting ready for our third annual SAF Sam Rayburn National High School Qualifier sponsored by The American Legion Post 78 Jasper and Post 113 Lufkin on June 27th and 28th.
