Patriots’ Challenge Open Bass fishing series kicks off with its first tournament of the year this Saturday, Jan. 9. Tournament headquarters is Jackson Hill Park and Marine on Sam Rayburn Lake.
Everyone is invited to fish our Patriots Challenge and help raise money for our Outdoor Freedom Network program, a 501 (C) 3 public charity,” says Terry at Jackson Hill. “Outdoor Freedom Network directly benefits our military heroes past and present.”
The first Wounded Warrior event of the new year will be March 18-20, 2016. Volunteer boaters are needed to take 10 Purple Heart Iraq and Afghanistan combat veterans fishing.
“Our disabled foster home veterans week over Veterans Day was fantastic with great weather and wonderful people,” adds Terry at Jackson Hill. “We also had the privilege of honoring five Vietnam veterans for their service. If you know a Vietnam veteran that you would like to honor, please contact us and we will give you the official presidential proclamation and a Vietnam veterans lapel pin to present, or bring them to Jackson Hill and we will present it to them as part of the 50th anniversary commemoration of the end the Vietnam war.
“God Bless you and God Bless America.”
