Fishing Report from TPWD (Aug. 3)

FAIR. Water stained; 89 degrees; 3.87 feet low. Largemouth bass are good early in the morning with topwater frogs along grass ledges, and off point and drops with Carolina rigs and crankbaits. White bass are good schooling on the flats chasing shad. Crappie are fair on brush piles with live minnows. Bluegill are mixed in with the crappie biting on worms. Catfish are in creek channels off ledges and brush piles in 15 feet of water. Navigate with caution while the water level decreases. Report by Lynn Atkinson, Reel Um N Guide Service.
