July 17th @ The Umphrey Pavilion in Brookeland,TX $160 per boat with no more than 2 anglers per boat $5000 Guaranteed Payout for First place. You can register online at the United way of MSJC website or at the Pavilion, Friday the 16th from 5-9pm or Saturday morning the 12th at the Pavilion from 4-6am. Trailering is allowed! Three Fish Limit!!!! (3)

This is a team event OPEN to the public with $5000 Guaranteed payout for 1st place brought to you by Jordan's Marine and Phoenix boats. Additional payouts will be at 1 spot for every 9 boats entered. Last year we gave out over 175 door prizes to Anglers and plan to shatter that this year.

You will not want to miss the meet and greet Friday night July 16th from 5pm-9pm @ the Umphrey pavilion. Anglers can pick up welcome goodie bags and enjoy dinner, live music from Curse and the Cure, washers, flipping contest brought to you by Daiwa and Rambo outdoors and much more, all free of charge thanks to our generous sponsors. We will be having prize raffles and providing information for the event, answering any and all questions regards to the weigh and other key event information.

The Reel United Valero Fishing Tournament is brought to you by Valero Port Arthur and supports the United Way of MSJC. 100% of the proceeds go to support the United Way of MSJC. The United way plays a vital role in helping to grow and support our community.

Fishing Report from TPWD (May 15)

GOOD. Water stained; 75 degrees; 2.15 feet above pool. Rivers are flooded and the lake water level continues to rise and is off-colored. Bass are fair with catches up to 7 pounds possible on points and deeper water with Carolina or Texas rigs. The frog bite is picking up bass in shallow lily pads and brush. Crappie are good on brush piles, minnows and jigs. Catfish are good in deeper water channels with cut bait, minnows and worms. Blue catfish are good in 18-22 feet of water. White bass are schooling on points biting minnows, jigging spoons, and small crankbaits. Report by Captain Lynn Atkinson, Reel Um N Guide Service.
