Lake Sam Rayburn Fishing Reports

Lake Sam Rayburn Fishing Report from TPWD (Sep. 22)

GOOD. Water stained; 80 degrees; 1.30 feet low. The fish are still in the summer pattern, but as the cold fronts move the fish are transitioning into the Fall patterns. Largemouth bass are starting feed-up on shad and moving to shallower waters. Schooling bass are good on crankbaits off the flats. Crappie are starting to migrate to deeper water, and North into the river and creeks. Topwater frog bite is getting better early morning as more of the grass begins to emerge, fish are schooling on flats, and the off-shore bite is good off ridges and points.
