The Big Bass Splash is an hourly big bass tournament for amateur anglers with hourly payouts! Fifteen places will be paid in cash each hour of each tournament day for the fifteen single heaviest bass weighed in. Grand prize is a new Triton bass boat and Dodge Ram truck plus cash. The contestant who weighs in the first 3.00/4.00/5.00 exact weight bass each day of the tournament will be awarded $5,000 cash. There are multiple chances to win if present during the award ceremony. Fishing Report from TPWD (Jul. 9)

GOOD. Water stained; 86 degrees; 1.54 feet below pool. Freshwater is still entering the lake from the river, and water is being released. Topwater bass bite is early in the morning and evening. Bass are deeper on points, drains and humps with crankbaits and Carolina rigs. Crappie are good on brush piles, but many undersized fish and bluegill to sift through. Catfish are good in 18-20 feet of water on cut bait. A few white bass are schooling on main lake points. Cast baits to shade. Report by Captain Lynn Atkinson, Reel Um N Guide Service.
