Clark Moore's Guide Service on Lake Sam Rayburn

I have been fishing Lake Sam Rayburn and Lake Nacogdoches since moving to East Texas in 1989. I have been guiding since 1996 and have spent many hours on these two beautiful lakes chasing fish! My experience on these lakes not only comes from the many hours I have spent with clients, but also from fun fishing with my family and friends and well as competing in local and national tournaments. I have seen the lakes full of grass when the 1 oz. jig was the prime bait to almost no grass at all when I had to put out brush to give specific targets for the fish to live in and carolina rigs and crankbaits were the prime baits. I have had many wonderful people from all over the world in my boat from beginning anglers to experienced tournament anglers and I now can call them friends and clients for a lifetime! You can also find me on facebook Clark Moore's Guide Service

I also have a fully furnished 3/1 cabin for rent that is 10 minutes from Powell Park, Rayburn Park, and Five Fingers boat ramp! I also have a 25' pontoon fully loaded for rent if you want to venture out yourself!

Lake Sam Rayburn

Fishing Report from TPWD (Aug. 27)

SLOW. Water stained; 90 degrees; 7.08 feet below pool. The lake is slowly falling, leaving lots of humps and shallow areas exposed, so boaters should use caution. Bass are being caught shallow on points and pockets with topwater frogs and Senkos, while crankbaits are working on points and drains, and jigs or Carolina rigs are producing off ledges and structure. Crappie are starting to stack up on brush and timber, white bass are schooling off points, and catfish have moved into deeper water and creek channels where cut bait is working well. Report by Captain Lynn Atkinson, Reel Um N Guide Service.
