Hill and Frazier Win Outlaw Angler of the Year

The team of Tommy Hill and Bubba Frazier captured Team of the Year for Outlaw Outdoors Fishing Tournaments. The second place team of Will West, Jr and Dean Ady, Jr was on their heels as was the third place team of Clayton Boulware and Albert Collins. West and Ady had a day they would like to forget, ultimately dropping them to fourth in the standings. Boulware and Collins had a strong seventh place finish giving Hill and Frazier a run for their money, but a top 20 finish sealed the deal for Hill and Frazier.

Hill and Frazier received two wood carved plaques for their efforts along with $500 in gift cards from Rambo Outdoors as well as free entries into all Sweet Sixteen Sunday Series Tournaments in 2020. Because of their top 10 finish Sunday, Boulware and Collins finished the year in second place in earning them $250 in gift cards from Rambo Outdoors. Rounding out the top three was the fourth place team coming in, Brian Payne and Eric Jones. They received $100 in gift cards from Rambo Outdoors.

In 2020 there will be a Rambo Outdoors Outlaw Of The Year awarded in The Sweet Sixteen Sunday Series as well as in The Outlaw Team Series. Winners will not only receive cash to spend at Rambo Outdoors, but they will also receive free entries into the series for the next year

Fishing Report from TPWD (Sep. 24)

SLOW. Water stained; 80 degrees; 7.35 feet below pool. The lake is slowly falling, creating lots of humps and shallow areas, so boaters should use caution. Water temperature is around 90 degrees, and bass are being caught shallow on points and pockets with topwater frogs and senkos, while crankbaits are working on points and drains and jigs or Carolina rigs are producing off ledges and structure. Crappie are starting to stack up on brush and timber, white bass are schooling off points, and catfish have moved into deeper water and creek channels with cut bait working well. Report by Captain Lynn Atkinson, Reel Um N Guide Service.
