The first application deadlines are August 1. Application deadlines are on the 1st and 15th of each month. Drawings are usually held the following business day. E-Postcard Hunts and US Forest Service Antlerless Deer Permits requiring a 2018-19 Annual Public Hunting Permit to apply will be available beginning August 15.

Highlights


Premium Private Lands Dove Hunts – quality dove hunts with a reputable hunting outfitter on private land. New properties have been added this year in Bell and Ellis Counties.
New Hunt Areas – including hunts available at Palmetto State Park and the newly acquired Powderhorn WMA
Youth Only (age 8-16) hunt categories have no application or permit fees


How it Works


- Browse hunts by category or location.
- Use your Customer ID as your identifier.
- Apply online up to 11:59 p.m. Central Time on the deadline date.
- Apply multiple times in the same category.
- The application fee is $0, $3 or $10, depending on the hunt.
- After you apply, you can check your drawing status at any time.
- If you are drawn for a hunt, an $80 or $130 permit fee is required for most hunts. Some hunts have no permit fees.

Lake Sam Rayburn Fishing Report from TPWD (Nov. 14)

Water stained; 74–78 degrees; 1.67’ low. Black bass are good on green pumpkin soft plastic worms, spinnerbaits, and buzzbaits in 15–25 feet, and on topwaters early and late. White bass are fair on minnows and silver spoons. Crappie are slow. Bream are good on nightcrawlers. Catfish are fair on trotlines baited with live bait.
