Ben Suit's 4 Pound Bass

Ben Suit's 4 Pound Bass

Ben Suit’s bass was the first 4-pound even bass of the third day, Oct. 11. The bass earned him $5,000 at the Sealy Big Bass Splash tournament at Lake Sam Rayburn. It also finished 11th in the 9-10 a.m. hour to fetch another $350.
Sunday morning, Suit was throwing a Whopper Plopper in an undisclosed color when the 4-pounder bit along the edge of hydrilla in 4-foot depths in the Veach Basin area of Lake Sam Rayburn. He and his co-angler had another solid bass to go with it but chose to stay there

GOOD. Water stained; 55 degrees; 1.92’ low. Largemouth bass are good working vegetation hard and then points when vegetation isn’t on. Crankbait, spinners, and Carolina rigged weighted worms are working best. White bass are fair on drops with sporadic activity. Crappie are good in creeks with jigs. Catfish are good on live and stinkbait.
